Use this Universal Islands of Adventure ride height checker to compare your child’s height with the park’s listed attraction requirements. Results include attractions with no minimum height, those available now and those that need a little more growing.
Islands of Adventure leans heavily on that same pattern — 13 of its 22 attractions, including the Hogwarts Express, the Seuss Landing family rides and Skull Island: Reign of Kong, allow a shorter child to ride with a supervising companion before they are tall enough at 48 in to ride alone. Pteranodon Flyers works in reverse: an adult may only board with a child between 36 and 56 in, so the checker flags that one separately.
Islands of Adventure is the most height-restricted park on this checker: only 4 of its 22 attractions are open to any height, and the rest are spread across eight separate thresholds from 36 in to 54 in. Thirteen rides — across Seuss Landing, Hogsmeade, Jurassic Park and Skull Island — use the park’s supervising-companion rule, so a child as short as 36 in can often still ride with an adult before reaching the 48 in independent height. Pteranodon Flyers is the one exception worth knowing about in advance: it only accepts an adult riding with a child between 36 and 56 in, so taller solo riders and unaccompanied adults can’t board it at all. At the top end, The Incredible Hulk Coaster’s 54 in minimum is the single highest threshold anywhere on this site.
