Use this Magic Kingdom ride height checker to compare your child’s height with the park’s listed attraction requirements. Results include attractions with no minimum height, those available now and those that need a little more growing.
Tomorrowland Speedway has a separate rule for driving independently, so the checker shows when a child may ride with an eligible driver and when they are tall enough to drive alone.
Magic Kingdom is the most forgiving of Walt Disney World’s four gate parks for smaller children: 25 of its 32 attractions, including everything in Fantasyland and Adventureland, have no height requirement at all. The first real threshold most families run into is 32 in, for Tomorrowland Speedway, followed by 35 in for The Barnstormer and 38 in for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train — a natural sequence as a toddler grows into their first thrill rides. Space Mountain (44 in) and TRON Lightcycle / Run (48 in) sit at the top of the park’s range and are usually the last two attractions a family checks off. Tomorrowland Speedway is the one ride here with a two-stage rule: a child as short as 32 in can drive with an adult, but needs to reach 54 in to drive solo, which is worth knowing before promising a child they’ll be behind the wheel unaccompanied.
Ride data checked against official park guidance in August 2026.
