Privacy policy
Last updated: September 2026. Florida Ride Height Checker is operated by Ryan O’Flaherty (“we”, “this site”). This policy explains what happens to the information you enter and how advertising cookies are used.
The height checker itself
Height calculations happen entirely in your browser. The child’s name (optional), height and preferred unit you enter are saved only in your browser’s local storage, on your own device, so they’re still there next time you open the site. That information is never transmitted to this site’s server, and we have no way to see or collect it.
You can clear it at any time by editing the field, or by clearing this site’s data from your browser settings.
Advertising: Google AdSense
This site uses Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers or similar technologies to serve ads, measure their performance, and — where you’ve allowed it — personalise ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can control this using the consent banner shown on your first visit, or at any time via the Cookie Policy page, which explains the choice in more detail.
If you’re in the UK, EU or Switzerland, ads are shown as non-personalised by default until you actively choose to allow personalised ads. You can review or reset Google’s ad personalisation for your account at any time at adssettings.google.com, and read Google’s own explanation of how it uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Analytics
This site does not currently run third-party analytics. If privacy-focused analytics are added in future, this policy will be updated first to describe exactly what’s collected.
Children’s privacy
Florida Ride Height Checker is a planning tool aimed at parents and guardians, not at children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the only data the site handles — a height, a unit, and an optional first name — is stored locally on the device of whoever is using it and is never sent to us.
Your choices
You can clear local storage at any time from your browser settings, change your ad-personalisation choice via the cookie banner or Google’s ad settings linked above, and use browser or device-level controls (such as “Do Not Track” or ad blockers) if you’d prefer not to see personalised ads at all.
